My wife Cathee and I have fought the odds for over thirty years, in the process
learning quite a bit about the real meaning of love.   If there is anything I would
change in the way I traveled the road of life knowing what I know now I would
have put this woman on a pedestal.  She is one of the most decent people I have
ever met.   Many people get divorced because they have irreconcilable
differences which in many cases means that at least one partner is self centered
and unwilling to compromise.
I got a little insecure about my relationship a while
back then I realized every picture Cathee and I are in
she has her head on my shoulder.  I have let her down
many times but she still loves me.
We are given grand children in order to have another chance
at setting priorities.  I'm trying as hard as I can to remember
what I learned from the mistakes I made.
My mom and dad, baby brother Mike (USAF Retired) far left,
brother Rick (w/grey beard) a German, me in the red. The week dad died of a
brain tumor, possibly from the chemicals he was exposed to in Viet Nam.
Several of his buddies came to his funeral, they all have some form of
cancer and they all speculated it was because of the chemicals in V N.
My dad died in Germany where he had met my Mom right after WW2 in
2002.  They came to visit us on 9/11 he wanted to see his first Great
grand child.  At the time there was nothing to indicate he would be
dead within nine months.
Dad.  Honestly, I know he
did the best he could
despite all the ups and
downs I miss him alot.

Our son Jonathan has my sense of humor.  Jonathan was fly fishing in Alaska last
Monday, he turned around and there was a big ass Grizzly w/ her cubs, 20 feet away.
She laid on a log w/ her eye on Jonathan and friends while her cubs ate a fish.  I will
post pictures soon.
